I have one ! I have one ! A what ? A positive point of the new LinkedIn interface? No ? If ! I complained a lot in an article and various comments against LinkedIn's latest changes. I have nothing against the new LinkedIn interface. What bothers me is the removal of features (even with a paid subscription) and the communication from LinkedIn which sends me an email to explain that it is so that I have a better experience on the platform . On this point, we must be clear: it is a failure. I don't want to be my average French, always complaining and saying that it was better before, but here is an extract of everything that LinkedIn has deleted in recent years (even with a premium subscription): List of keywords that generated traffic to my profile.
Paid Subscription Feature: Removed. Indication of relevant keywords from my Email Data summary and suggestions for keywords to add. Paid Subscription Feature: Removed. Skills statistics: how many people have a given skill on their profiles; age pyramids of competence. Deleted. Number of level 3 contacts: removed. Number of level 2 contacts: removed. Searching his contacts' contacts: deleted. Connection: deleted. InMap: graphical representation of a network. Deleted Tags: deleted. Profile visit curve: deleted. Interaction curve: deleted. Most viewed profiles in my company: deleted. New contacts from my contacts: deleted. Visitor stats: much less precise insights.
Unlimited Contact Searches: Removed. Level 1 contact sorting criteria: removed. Advanced search: removed, even with a business subscription. Mapping of his contacts by geographical area: deleted. Sending a message to up to 50 people: removed. Profile strength: removed from the site, only on tablet or mobile. Sorting of home page information: deleted. Edit Employer Display Name: Removed. Search by postal code: removed. Not to mention the hidden skills, the summary which has become invisible, the hidden prices and certifications. I nevertheless found 1 very positive point (yes! yes!) of the new interface and which I have not read anyone talking about. You can now, even from a free account, send an invitation to someone by inserting an email address or a URL.
